Since its creation in 2004, The Inn at Palmetto Bluff has gained popularity for those seeking an authentic southern resort experience. Located in Bluffton, South Carolina, and inspired by the cities of Savannah and Charleston, Palmetto Bluff is the essence of the South Carolina Lowcountry—a vast expanse of pristine land bounded by the May, Cooper and New Rivers. Rich in wildlife and spectacular beauty, the 20,000-acre land conservancy of Palmetto Bluff creates an unparalleled physical setting.
Strategically located between two dynamic visitor destinations of Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head, South Carolina, Palmetto Bluff boasts a world-class 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, an exclusive 50-room inn, three restaurants, 220 built homes, an equestrian center, and an additional 400 sold home sites for future development.
The planned development will include the expansion of the existing resort hotel from a 50-room inn to a financially sustainable 200-room hotel with approximately 14,000 square feet of spa and fitness facilities, 5,000 square feet of additional food and beverage space, 18,000 square feet of new meeting and function facilities, as well as the development of 40 resort-affiliated residential units ranging in size from 1,500 square feet to 3,600 square feet.
The Athens Group, in partnership with Crescent Resources, will lead the expansion of the resort. Once complete, the expanded luxury resort at Palmetto Bluff will be positioned to compete at the top of the luxury market on the southeastern U.S. coast.
